Introducing Whispering Donkey, a local band from the Northwoods promoting MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE! Their all-original music is gaining attention in the music scene with music and lyrics drawn from life experiences. The band formed in 2023 and has 7 members. Band leader Ken Stilley had some of his music go to #2 on the Christian charts in the early 90’s. The Whispering Donkey’s genre is something like rockabilly, country, and surf pop rock, meaning as everyone says – they have their own, unique, sound.

Returning to the Hodag Park Concert Series stage is a Roots Rock duo, Seth and Desiree Brown, who craft songs that spark the imagination, uplift, and inspire. Years ago, this talented, married couple left Nashville to start a new life of peace and joy in the Northwoods. Touring the nation to perform live music full-time, both Seth and Desiree have written countless words on their experience which has led to a debut album “Campfire Currency,” and novel: “Desy’s Diaries – Awakening to the Alternative.” Their sound is a genre bending blend of music influenced by rock and roll, traditional and outlaw country, folk, and bluegrass while sharing authentic energy and a good time.
